DISTRICT dissolves the existing geographical and financial barriers that limit accessibility of live entertainment experiences.
Solving physical problems with digital solutions paves the way for a new medium that binds artists to their fan base. Visiting the capital of clubs in VR, to experience what its club scene offers is something that until now has been limited to a select few. DISTRICT provides access for the masses as well as the tools for creators to flourish in the metascape.

Launching our public beta on Steam as a single-player VR DJ experience, version 0.5, allows us to closely understand our users' needs, paving the way for a comprehensive multiplayer release in version 1.0.
Single Player Features
DISTRICT 0.5 is our official beta version. The first district you will spawn in is the a digitally mirrored streets of Kreuzberg, Berlin. This is the epicentre of club culture and also of the DISTRICT.
This version introduces a variety of features to jump-start the exploration, creation, and immersion into the game. As the game evolves and grows, we want to ensure it moves in the direction you want it to.

Digital Assets
These bytes of information power not only the DISTRICT, but the entire internet.
With the use of smart contracts, it is now possible for data to hold value and for users to trade other forms of value for these digital assets. The DISTRICT utilises the LUKSO network to store and deploy these assets for use within our ecosystem. Every step in DISTRICT's development reflects a leap in digital music innovation
DISTRICT has evolved significantly since 2020, receiving grants, developing a VR MVP, and hosting hybrid events. The roadmap highlights major developments leading to a 2025 release of the multi-player version and desktop coming in 2026.
DAO
The entire District ecosystem is powered by a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation.
This DAO governs the distribution of DISTRICT's tokens, commits to the deployment of your 'Label DAO' and also manages revenue flows to rostered artists or DJs on the label. This infrastructure enables a user to safely store their track metadata on the LUKSO blockchain, and collect royalties based on plays within District and associated dApps. DIGITAL ASSET catalog consists of digital assets [eg. Tracks] that are owned by an artist, or a label/artist. This smart contract defines the split of revenue and royalties, and can be representative of the real world contract record deal. This could also be merchandise, ticket sales etc etc. The smart contract houses the track metadata, normally given to a distributor when uploading music. This allows us to track in game activity of the digital asset and distribute the funds to the rights holders via the DAO vault.
ARTISTS and their Universal Profile are wholly owned by the creator of the UP. If a label owns a stake in the artist or DJ's brand, similar to a label the artist UP can be managed by multiple signatories.
